FELIX SUEN holds a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy (Hong Kong Baptist University), a Master’s degree and Certificate of Advanced Studies in collaborative piano (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, additional principal study in vocal performance), as well as a Postgraduate Artist Diploma in vocal performance (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance). He was a Trinity College London Scholar and choral scholar at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel.
Felix’s piano collaboration with singers and performances as a tenor soloist took him around the world. As a pianist, he has performed extensively in London, including the renowned Wigmore Hall, as well as in the former Trinity College of Music. As a classical singer he has sung a number of tenor solos in sacred repertory, including Bach’s Magnificat BWV 243, Cantatas BWV 22, 70, 78, 80, 139 and 140, Handel’s Messiah, Purcell’s Ode to St. Cecilia’s Day, Mozart’s Requiem, and Missa Brevis in F major. Felix has worked with numerous musical groups such as the Alpha and Omega Company, Hong Kong Oratorio Society, the Hong Kong Bach Choir, the Hong Kong Baptist University Choir and the Hong Kong University Chamber Choir. He was the conductor of the Hong Kong Baptist University Men’s Choir, Department of Music, HKBU, and is currently teaching their vocal training class.
